An absolute gem of a restaurant. 5 star service, 5 star food. If you’re in Ningyocho, eat here! You will not be disappointed!!!

We had a lunch set at this restaurant. The Wagyu beef was delicious and to watch the preparing an experience. Lovely staff and good price too. (We paid for 100g Wagyu about 35$)

Ningyocho Imahan is my favorite place for sukiyaki. Sukiyaki is usually something we have at home because it’s more fun to have hot pot with a group of people, but this place is special. They now have several locations that are cheaper, but if this is your first time trying the famous Imahan sukiyaki and you have some money to splurge I would definitely recommend coming to this original location in Ningyocho. Here you get the ultimate Imahan experience where you get your own private traditional Japanese tatami room and the women who work here bring out the food and cook everything to perfection. They will leave once everything is done so that you get some privacy. They use high quality wagyu beef for the sukiyaki and then they make an egg porridge for you at the end of the meal. The service and sukiyaki here is so good that no sukiyaki will ever be the same once you’ve had it here!

Just get the メンチカツ from the front window and you’ll be happy :) Cheap and great on the go.

Great service, meal and atmosphere rolled into one! Only issue is it can be a bit pricey at face value.

I was told by a friend to visit this location. We made a reservation in advance and to our surprise, we were given a private room. This restaurant has very traditional Japanese decoration. Excellent food quality. We even had a private server serving us for the entire time. The service was an un-parallelled Japanese hospitality experience. All these factors made this a perfect dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes sukiyaki!

Quite possibly the best sukiyaki in Tokyo! Imahan Ningyocho provide us with one of the best dining experiences we have had in Japan. Firstly we were given a private room. This does cost an extra 2000 yen which is well worth the money. We were allocated someone who looked after us. This included taking our order, cooking the food in front of us and anything else we needed. The staff were very nice and the service was great. The quality of the ingredients was great and the food tasted delicious. Highly recommend. Also bookings are essential.

Fried delicacies at Imagan, right opposite its restaurant Imahan mingyocho. The fried squid I had was just so simply delicious I could just eat tonnes of it for lunch. There’s a smorgasbord of fried food that you won’t be able to resist. There goes my cholesterol.

Great Sukiyaki!

Absolutely the best sukiyaki on this planet. We visit it every time when we are in japan! Strongly recommended. If you don't have the money to splash, lunch is a good option to have a taste of this awesome place.

Fryer beef and potato mix:Taste good, but didn't warm enough. I have had it right after bought😄. I think if it was hot, the taste must be much better.

We had sukiyaki dinner with top grade wagyu, around JPY15,000 per person. The beef melt in my mouth. If you come for set lunch it's half the price. All the staff were very attentive. We arrived half an hour early before dinner service without a reservation. The lady at the front desk spoke English, she explained the menu to us and helped us booked a table.

Gold standard for sukiyaki as I understand it. To be fair, I was not the one paying so cannot comment on the value, although I imagine it does not come cheap. Had a wonderful time and the food was exceptionally delicious.

Love the take-out food from next door-- Sukiyaki Korokke was super delicious! Would love to try the dinner Sukiyaki next time.

A must visit when in Tokyo, the sukiyaki is legendary and worth the reputation. Must book way in advance. At first we ordered 3 courses and 1 additional beef platter for 2 adults and 3 kids. Because they tasted so good, we ordered more. The only problem was the vegetables actually took a long time to get right. So, I would recommend to order a bit more in advance if in a hurry. And it bothered me a bit that the lady who was cooking for us was having a little flu so she snorted once in a while when cooking and she wasn't wearing a mask. On hindsight should have suggested she wore one.

It is a great sukiyaki restaurant in Tokyo area but should be careful with high price. The price depend on the menu and 10% service charge + consumption tax. My case was almost 800 dollars for 4 person with some drinks. The beef was great and taste was a little bit too sweet. A little problem was the service. It was not consistent, may be their shift? The service was not worth 10% which is about 70 dollars.

I had Sukiyaki course at night and it was just amazing! It's pricey but definitely one of the best. The private room is so Japanese and also perfect for business meetings.

Love this traditional Teppanyaki restaurant! We often go there at teppanyaki ground floor shabu shabu and sukiyaki restaurant upstairs. Butcher and deli attach to restaurant also great.

It was a bit pricey . but the service was excellent ...and the food was outstanding...the little waitress made such a fuss to make sure my meal was enjoyable .

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had in my life. I was taken here by a Japanese colleague who claimed it is the best Sukiyaki restaurant in Tokyo. On this evidence he's not wrong. The beef was so tender it just melted in my mouth, and everything was timed so perfectly it was cooked perfectly. The tofu was incredible.The sake was also some of the best I've ever had. O wouldn't hesitate to come here again. Incredible.

I went here at lunch time.It was hard to reserve here. Because very popular restaurant. I have never eaten such a fabulous sukiyaki before.I wanna be here again.Private room is a good point.

Truly a divine experience - foodgasm every mouth. The servers hospitality is beyond measurements. They made sure we were well seated and comfortable before preparing our meal.Sukiyaki is A MUST Order, totally worth the money and experience. I won't dwell too much into the food - I hope the picture shows its worth! Definitely coming back again!

Another satisfied meal. Wagyu beef sukiyaki style (eat with raw egg) high quality food. Price is reasonable on lunch time. Dinner can be quite expensive. Recommended to come for lunch. Delicious!
